FW: tirefitment 200 and springs

Spring spacers stiffen the springs. It is IMPORTANT to place a spacer as
close as possible
to either end of the spring, as the spaced coils are "dead". It also
shortens the spring, which
effectively increases the spring rate by the proportion of # or lost coils/#
of original coils.
Now, if you place the spacer partway along the spring, you end up inviting a
few new issues.
You now have two separate, stiff springs trying to be damped by a single
shock. All sorts of
neat new harmonics are introduced, quite likely not what you want. Hence
spacers aren't such
a good solution.
BTW, I do have a set of OEM 200 10V springs availible that came off of my
now sold 200 10V.
I don't recall the car sagging.
