tirefitment 200

I responded privately that I have had the following on my car with no
rubbing whatsoever, even when heavily loaded:

16x7 et35 225/50-16 Dunlop SP8000
16x8 et35 235/50-16 Dunlop SP5000, then 215/55-16

My car is a 91 Avant with 232k and 5+ year old Bilstein HD's with no
recent suspension freshening.

It has been my experience that Bilsteins (and Boge TurboGas) raise the
ride height when installed.

However, I believe I negated that with one particularly heavy load
while running the SP8000's with 2 spare SP8000's, a full size spare in
the tub, spare UFO calipers & rotors, a set of height adjustable euro
lights, and a whole dirt bike stuffed in the back (pix available)
right after I bought it in CA and drove home to CO. No rubbing.

With the 235/50's I have loaded up the car for a 5-day camping trip
and experienced no rubbing.

YMMV.
