I'd just throw that one away. Used 10vt engines don't cost a lot, why
waste money rebuilding one that got banged up on the inside when you
could do it to a good one?

Ah, so you even have access to another engine. Use that one.
And, I have to ask, what is the matter with the one in the car? I can
see taking that spare engine and bolting it to a stand and fiddling with
it in your spare time, so it's good to go if and when you ever need it.
But I missed the explanation as to why you need it now?
