Cut-out solved?

Hi again Y'all,

Well, it's beginning to appear that magic has worked again.  The 
engine cut-out problem which has (had?) been plaguing my '95.5 RS2ed 
urS6 since about April of last year has not happened again since just 
before Christmas.  That was 963 miles ago.  Either the problem has 
been solved or the Audi gods are trying to lull me to sleep before 
delivering another whammy.  The last two operations performed on the 
car just before Christmas were to pull the MAF connector, clean the 
contacts, treat with Stabilant 22a, and reassemble.  Then do the same 
with the engine speed sensor connector.

Many thanks to all who wracked their brains on my behalf and came up 
with so many suggestions.  Some suggestions were more helpful than 
others ;-) but all were appreciated.  The car now has just about 
everything related to keeping the engine running either newly 
replaced or newly serviced and it is running superbly (for the moment).
