removing duct tape from paint..ideas? paint thinner/mineralspirits

The rationale is that peanut butter contains peanut oil which 
supposedly will soften/dissolve the adhesive residue enough so that 
when you wipe the peanut butter off it will take the adhesive with 
it.  Now, just how effective that might be is open to debate or, even 
better, open to testing.
