Just another data point here.  I have two recent Audis-- a 2001 (B5)
S4 and a 2004 allroad. On the S4-- which I drive and drive pretty
aggressively all the time-- I've seen pretty much a 3:2 ratio between
front brake pads/rotors and the rear. The allroad, however-- driven by
my wife sedately around town mostly-- is going almost 1:2 with
front:rear replacements.

There are two variables here-- driving style and model year-- I don't
know if different revisions of the ABS system are employed.

The early rear bias is interesting and is the first believable
explanation I've heard for why the allroad is exhibiting behavior
opposite to that of every other car I've ever owned...
