radiator end cap plastic repair

If you wanna get hitech, I'd use some biaxial kevlar seam tape and
whatever epoxy resin system will withstand 240 degrees F. Lacking
that, Devcon makes a product that Wal mart sells called "Plastic
Welder and sells for about $250 a syringe. Make sure you get the
stuff that has has a methyl-methacrolate base to it. I'm not sure of
the high end of the temperature compatability of the plastic weld,
but maybe working that stuff down the actual crack and then clamping
it would do initally, and then follow up with the kevlar tape and
epoxy. I can send you some of the kevlar seam tape if you can find a
suitable epoxy and have a basic knowledge of how to prepare the
surface for bonding. Maybe PC 7 would work. Biaxial kevlar will
conform to almost any curved surface.

P mail me if you need more info.
