If you retrofitted a '05.5+ center console into your car, you could get the
two cupholders by the e-brake. They
don't work that much better, but it's better than spilling liquid into the
radio and climate control.
If you really want to get trick, I'd look into an OEM retrofit- see whether
or not you can install the Audi bluetooth
module into your car. IIRC, the current car and yours isn't all that
different. It's just a matter of seeing if you can
install the module, have it coded correctly and if it will communicate with
your car.
If not, then the Motorola or similar is your only choice. In order to have
decent noise cancellation in a convertible,
you'll need the windblocker up and you really need to install a boom mic
right by your head- I've seen this in a TT
once, but we were driving so I had no way of seeing what his setup was.
Mount it to the headrest, wire it through the
seat.
