Looking for a new clutch assembly

I've been trying to find a good deal on just the flywheel for that
application and they're not cheap. I haven't found it for less than $600
yet.

I've heard a few different figures, but the most common is "79" when it
comes to how many 5-speed V8Qs were brought into the US.

With rarity comes high prices in the world of Audi.

$2500 ?!?!?!? parts and labor or just parts? please tell me it's not
just parts..

please don't go to the dealer for that. find a good local indy and
have them do it. the parts shouldn't be any more than 'regular' audi
bits - especially with the popularity of that motor as a swap.

mailorder parts can lower cost significantly, but i can't imagine it
should cost more than 1500 or so parts + labor. that's a pretty
expensive clutch job.

alas i've never had a v8 so maybe there's a gold lined flywheel in
there i dont' know about. =)
