If you have 245/40, why don't you just do a test-fit?

235/45 is too tall for a B5 chassis car. I don't know how badly that will
affect gearing. Also, not sure if that will rub or not.

What suspension setup are you running? Stock?

BTW, you'll have to do some research into what tire size is optimal- it
doesn't always work to have wider tires if the wheel can't support it. R
rubber tends to have super-stiff sidewalls, so you can get away with a lot
more (since they're designed with stock-class autox in mind a lot of times).

If you're doing the 235s, I suggest Yokohama A-046 (stock Evo tire). One of
the best options out there in a sticky street tire.

You'll need some suspension work to make it handle- car rolls way too much
stock, IMHO.

What autox class? STX? G Stock? SM?
