B3 90q - Trunk/Boot Won't Unlock

This post reminds me of a minor irritant. Is there anything wrong with
saying a car is an '88 90 or a '92 S4 or an '89 200 rather than a B3 or a
C5 or a Z57 or whatever? It seems to me to just be adding another level of
complexity to keep track of to refer to cars this way.
Oh. Maybe that's just another way to separate the initiates from the
uninitiated. ;-)
