Changing a car's color (and paint shops in southern NH area)

Andrew-
Feasible, depending on a few factors:
How much are you willing to spend?
Are you going to do any prep work yourself?
The reason I ask is because to do a color change the "right" way, you'll
need to pull the engine, interior, trunk lining, glass, basically
disassemble the car down to the unibody. Prep and spray at that point, then
reassemble is the only way you can do a complete color change and have it
nearly indistinguishable from a factory job.
If you ever watch "Overhaulin'," you'll see what I'm talking about in terms
of the work required to paint a car right.
If you don't do the disassembly yourself, you'll have to pay a shop a lot of
money to do it. Depending on the car and how complex/difficult the
disassembly/reassembly process is, you will pay thousands to do this.
If you have something like a '69 ZL-1 Camaro or a '66 Ferrari 275GTB in a
horrible color, I can see doing this. Otherwise, it's probably not worth it,
unless it's worth it to you to have that color.
