Headlamp washers come with the bixenons, which I don't think that base model car had.
Finally someone who thinks that the 2.0T isn't all that great with the automatic! :-)
The lag issue is a tad better if you turn ESP off, for some reason, even though I don't think you can overpower the wheels of an A4 with the 2.0T.
Drive the 6-speed 2.0T and it's a fair bit better. Drive the same package in a smaller car like the GTI and it's worlds better.
I know the radio is slightly different, but otherwise, isn't the interior identical to your car? There are very few changes to the interior between B6 and B7. That's the thing I didn't like about the B7- no improvements (other than the cupholder) to the interior. I'm waiting to see how the B8 and the new platform that also underpins the A5/S5 will turn out.

It definitely didn't have the bixenons. I'm sure the 6-speed would have been much better, I've driven a Tip with this engine several times, and it really struck me just how mismatched they are. I probably noticed more because I put over 500 miles on the car.
Re: the interior, yes, it is exactly the same as my car except for the radio - and the crappy cupholder in mine! I was also kind of surprised when the B7 first debuted, that they really changed the exterior but not the interior (other than radio details, cupholders and steering wheel) at all. OTOH, I think the B6/B7 A4 interior is pretty darn sharp overall...... Except in tan, when you have too many colors (tan, silver, and black around a lot of the trim).
Oh, I also liked the steering wheel controls, which mine doesn't have. I keep 'thumbing' for the volume control in my car.... ;-)
