1985 4000S Quattro - what should I do with it?

The body is reasonably good, all original paint. It's got a couple of rock? dings in the hood (tiny rusty spots), and a larger area on the plastic trunk trim peeling. The paint is faded as might be expected with original paint. The black trim paint is peeling/missing in places, like around windows and the wipers. Also one rear light lens is cracked. I seem to recall a few door dings, that's it.

I don't recall any underbody issues and my Dad doesn't see any problems there either. The exhaust probably needs some replacement parts soon, I replaced the whole thing sometime in the mid-90s and patched a pipe about 4 years ago.

I've got a 1985 Red 4KSQ sitting in my Dad's driveway in Virginia near DC, I've been in Denver 4 years and now it doesn't start (surprise). He insists I get it out of there ASAP but I can't get it to Colorado.

What should I do with it?

It's been idle for about 2 years, and hasn't started in about a year.

The problems it had when it ran were:
(1) some sort of issue with the air intake valve (that big 3-4" paddle in the big rubber hose) where it would backfire now and then. Got a refurbished one in the trunk, never put it in. It would cause the car to stall sometimes too.
(2) slow pinhole leak in radiator
(3) slight looseness in steering, have brand new joint and strut ends in the trunk for that
(4) slow leak from brake cylinder, have a brand new one in the trunk
(5) wear and tear on seats and various inside trim, minor body damage...

Mostly it ran pretty well for an 85.

So, should I send it straight to the junkyard and ebay the parts, or is there anyone willing to adopt it? Let me know what you suggest for me or want to do with it. I hate to see one of these die, but maybe it's not worth saving anymore.
