iPod to Audi...

IME the icelink sucks. its totally beta grade. glitchy and not ironed out.
ive got one in my a4. alos theyre out of business in NA [check their site]
you can't get parts, support, etc. on my radio, the radio/icelink controls
are useless for song / album / track selection, so i use the ipod controls
for everything [except volume]

i got my gf an adaptor from logjam.com - they seem to have all the brands
covered. decent service from a webco [they answered lots of q's i had]. i
got her a pac one, it  was about 200 when all was said + done.

if i were to do it again i'd either get a basic line level converter [logjam
has them for ~$80] that only charges the ipod and pipes in the audio, and
use the ipod controls while driving. or i would get an aftermarket head unit
[alpine's is nice] that has a dedicated ipod interface to control the ipod.
that would be $300 ish + install.
