Once Audi screwed my family, the A6 4.2 Quattro was out.  So looking for a
ncie AWD car for mom, she ordered an '03 BMW 330xi.  I like the car, but
real quattro sticks a bit better and the Audis definately have better
interiors.

I've taken the BMW on several trips (including a few winter driving schools)
and it's overall an excellent vehicle which has given us few problems.

Of note:
There's a design flaw in the EVAP system purge valve that in extremely cold
temperatures it freezes and causes the check engine light to come on.  An
E46 problem.  Once it warms up, no more check engine light.
Recently, our car has developed a clunk (probably control arm bushings upon
a quick glance) but I have a few cars ahead of mom's on my schedule before I
replace them.  Very common problem.

The sedan doens't have a lot of interior volume, so the folding seats ARE a
must.
