anyone ever sawzalled the roof off your CGT?

I LOVED my first car, a 1987 Bertone X1/9. I still have it (in pieces).
Love targa tops, VERY functional. I did ski trips with roof racks on the
targa in the winter, and drove all summer with the top off. Lots of
fabrication to make a weather-tight targa with a sawzall, though.
AFAIK, a European tuner did a convert conversion to an UR-Q or Coupe GT as a
show car. Would be fairly simple to fabricate bows and a canvas roof (like
old convertibles).
Good luck, and send pics!
