Leaking coolant reservoir

The sensor is not the problem. Despite what it looks like a first  
glance, the sensor doesn't insert through the wall of the reservoir  
and therefore can't be a cause of leaks. The sensor is just a reed  
switch that sits inside a passage moulded into the reservoir and is  
triggered by a floating magnet.

I'd put money on the problem going away due to the "laying on of  
hands". Like someone else said, Audi uses narrow clamps and even when  
tight they sometimes allow leaks, especially on older hoses that have  
hardened and taken a set.
