90q No Brake Lights

I understood the autocheck system measures the different between the
left/right bulbs and signals a failure if it detects a difference.

If someone knows the definitive answer I'd like to know too.

Would the warning light come on if it was a bad switch?  I thought the
system detected abnormal current flow and if it was the switch how would
the sytem know you just weren't pushing the pedal?
