So is there a verdict on rebuilding hydraulic hoses?

Just to muddy things up a little more, here's my experience:

I got an "OEM replacement" high-pressure PS pump to rack hose for my
200q20v. It lasted
just less than 1 year. The replacement hose was Audi-branded from the Audi
dealer. Cost
about $50 more ($165 vs. $115). That hose lasted 3 years at least, was in
the car when I sold it.

I would not get anything but the Audi hose from the Audi dealership, just to
be safe.
