S6 "sputtering" puzzle

You may find a better explanation on google. As I understand it, compression
makes it harder for a spark to jump the gap of the plug. It is an
exponential ratio - more compression makes it harder to jump the gap. Hence
it is common on turbo cars to reach a certain boost level where ignition
just simply does not happen as soon as you reach a certain pressure.

The solution is to either make the spark stronger so that it can make the
jump, or to reduce the distance that it has to jump.

What exactly is spark blow out? Just that? Like a candle in the wind?
Not sufficient spark to cause ignition of gasses?

This sounds to me like classic spark plug blowout.

Change out your plugs, if that does not help, it is likely that the
ignition
system on your car is getting tired. Wires, coil, distributor, PTU (if
you
have one)...

You can often bandaid the problem by gapping down your plugs .02-.06
from
whatever the stock recommendation are. I am not very familiar with your
motor and its particular quirks - but I am a pretty versed Turbo guy and
based on your description, I would bet my $0.02 that spark blowout is
your
issue.

My 95 URS6 has been demonstrating some strange behavior that I cannot
diagnose.
Back in December my Inter-cooler sprung a leak. It was relatively easy
to
find the problem with a pressure test and I replaced it thinking I had
cured
its
 ills.
About then we started to accumulate snow that finally stopped somewhere

between 70-80 inches total. The roads were so packed and rough that we
broke the
oil pan on our A6 dropping on all the unavoidable holes etc.
Anyway, now that the roads are passable I find the car still "sputters"
at
WOT and full boost. It doesn't buck or cut out it just sputters. If I
peddle
it to maintain below 17 it pulls like a train. Go to WOT and 20 or
above
PSI
and she sputters badly. Prior to all this it was running 27 full boost
very

nicely.
I have pressure checked it twice with a stethoscope very methodically
and
it
holds pressure even after I take the regulator off. It also blinks no
codes.
Any usual culprits for such misbehavior?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
TIA
