Tyson,

Have limited knowledge on the 2.8's, but, would strongly suggest you find
someone with VAGCOM and see what codes come up?
these should give you an idea of where to start. Do know that EGR passage in
the intake manifold plugs up and causes problems. Also, a good ISV cleaning
wouldn't hurt!

No, isn't "drive by wire".

Run VAGCOM! Or, go to AutoZone and have them run codes... Not as good as
VAGCOM, but better than nothing!

Also suggest looking in other forums/web-sites. This one is obviously geared
to 44's..
