scammers on the marketplace

Well, publishing their email here a couple of times ought to up *their* 
incoming spam...

Meanwhile, there's no "smart" way to prevent anyone from reading (or 
botting) the marketplace, or to prevent anyone from emailling you.

So I'd offer two ideas - "brute force" - put a filter on your emailt hat 
sends anything from them straight to junk; or "tricky" - don't put your 
email explicitly on your ad.  You could do the joker (at) jokes.com type 
thing, most people get that, but not machines.  Or you could make them 
go to a web page which either has your email addy as above, or even has 
a form to email you without giving away your addy.
