high performance street tires? ?

I've always liked the Kumho 711's. I have a set on my V8 right now, have
lasted 30K of hard miles. I drove a car with the 712's, didn't like it. I
used to (and still do) have a 4000Q, I used to love the RE71's and AVS
intermediates. It seems, just when I find a tire I like, they discontinue
it. The 711's are now discontinued. Anyhow, I did drive a number of 05 A4's
with the Esta SPT's, and they seemed to behave well. However, didn't do any
crazy aggressive driving (like I do in the 4k) so I'm not sure about at the
limit. Oh, on my 4000Q(s) they are (were) 205/50/15's.

I always buy my high performance tires from tirerack, and read as many
reviews as I can before. Look specifically for similar cars, and similar
driving style.

Hope this helps,
Tony Hoffman
