high performance street tires?

That's probably my posts. My scale for "OK" for snow on a performance tire
means that they will get you home in a surprise snowfall, nothing more. The
AVSi, S-03, Azenis, and BFG KDW/KD and other similar Max Performance tires
can't do that. Tires like the RE-715 and the General UHP can get you home
after a surprise inch or two, which is basically my definition of
streetability. I live in central NC, where it snows 1-2" occasionally, so
that's my frame of reference. If I lived in DC or anywhere further N than
that I'd definitely get true snow tires.
