Taka, you don¹t. You have to take the seller at their word. It¹s a trust
thing. Obviously the condition of the tires/rims will tell you something but
not everything. You already know this, as do most of the listers on the
forum, so we¹re not adding anything to the debate here.

I guess that, in my experience, most of the time you can trust people. If
the situation feels wrong, then it probably is.

However, I¹d be more likely to trust someone on this forum, such as
yourself. . . .

If, for example, you were selling some used snows.
