Used Motor

Hi:

 

Wanted to get a general consensus from some of you in the know.

 

When buying a used motor what would you expect to get on that motor if
it was;

a)       Complete

b)       Long Block

c)       Short Block

 

I am now getting the picture that the exhaust manifolds on these older
I5 motors tend to crack - my old one is;

a) is that a big deal - I mean to have an exhaust manifold w/a crack
installed in the car

b) if it is a big deal - what's the next step - I saw a thread regarding
welding - what does that cost?
