You'd be amazed.  The A8 weight is about the same as an A6 (with the V6!).
I can check exact figures, but our A8s averaged in the low-20's (22?
24?) as I recall.... which is on par with an A6 2.8.

Because of the AL construction, the A8 handled very well for such a large
car.  Certainly better handling than the 2001 Lexus LS 430 (Ultra-Luxury)
that replaced the 2000 A8.
