A/C receiver drier question

When I changed the dryer in the 200TQA I picked up a "generic" GM dryer
for around $15 at the local FLAPS.  It came with a couple of different
fittings for charging, making it much easier to work on the system than
having to go through the switch port.

It's a basic GM design, a sealed tube with a bag of desiccant inside, if
it fits the application,  it'll work just fine.  Never did one on the
V8Q, but from your link you posted, the one I put in the 200TQA looks the
same.
