Extreme Rant Warning - Ethics of selling cars, or...

Two well-known "citizens" of the S-Car List have done similar things to me.

I drove 100 miles to meet up with a guy to buy something - no show.  You
believe that?  He stopped answering his cell phone and didn't reply to my
email for weeks.  He sold it to somebody else - for more money I'm sure.
Same as what happened to your son - no discussion, no acknowledgment of the
violation of ethics.

My second problem was with a very high-profile guy who kept $700 of mine for
almost 2 years before he could deliver the part.  It was supposed to be in
my hands within 2-3 weeks.  He didn't acknowledge my requests to refund my
money and put me at the top of the list when he could finally produce the
part.  It got ugly - but it was all off-list.

Makes you wonder....
