Location of 2.7L crankshaft locating hole? (for timing belt replacement)

Hello,

Does anyone happen to know where the crankshaft locating hole is on the 2.7L?  I'm replacing the timing belt on my 2001 A6Q, have rented the proper tools per Bentley, and of course the Bentley is worthless as the picture doesn't show anything like my engine.  It describes removing the cover and screwing in the tool to accurate locate TDC.  I see a black plastic cover about halfway back on the drivers side of the block, but it will be a royal PITA to get to with all of the other stuff in the way.
