Bentley's V1.0 CD for 90 Q 1995 too old to work on Win 2000 or XP machine

I am having difficulty installing my Bentley V1.0 on a machine with I wont
fully install than fails to function.  Think it must be just too old.  A
fellow list member and I shared the software so Bentley is not very
cooperative and the discount upgrade period is long gone.

Any help would be appreciated have some problems I want to address before it
gets cold.
