5 seconds of cranking to start

Could also be leaking injectors if the check valve seems okay. Wouldn't be
surprised given the age of the car. If the car is garaged, when it gets REAL
bad, you'll note the smell of gasoline (weak, but there) when you go into
the garage. AMHIK. One bad thing, besides wasted gas, and heavy unburnt
HC emmissions on start up, is the dilution of the motor oil. Replacement
injectors are somewhat reasonable (around $200, last time I checked, but
who knows with the way the $ is going) and it is a DIY job with proper flare
wrenches and gaskets.
