5 seconds of cranking to start

Have you done a simple tune up? Plugs, Wires & Cap? (or at the very  least 
Plugs). My NG engine would start doing this as winter arrived and it was  in 
need of a tune. (I see you are from Alta, it should be starting to get cold  in 
the mornings),  If it is in 'tune' start by checking the water temp  sensor 
then cold start valve.
