New clutch slipping in 5000 turbo quattro

That is what I am hoping to be the case...Bentley manual says something to the effect -
pedal should not be pressing against the MC otherwise excessive clutch wear will occur.
I have the feeling someone adjusted it like that to compensate for air or worn slave and
now with new components that adjustment is causing the clutch to slip.

[clutch]is partially disengaged and slipping under full load.

to full length. I'm hoping that all that needs to be done is to re-adjust the rod on
the master to a shorter length. If it is putting pressure on the system, this should
reduce it. It doesn't fully make sense to me, as I'd expect the pressure to equalize.

It might not because, you have trapped a volume of fluid in the mc, that nomally
would escape properly if the master cylinder retracted far enough. As someone wrote
earlier the piston cup has to go back far enough to expose a hole.
 Hope that make sense.
