first off i'm NO expert.. =) and i can't speak to the ignition benefits but
i can to the audio benefits. i've had caps [.5-1f] on several audio systems
and it's always made a huge difference as far as dynamic impact [not just
bass] when things get loud. i'm no 'basshead' [my previous home kit includes
sonic frontiers, krell, b+w, rotel, dynauio, jm;ab/focal, etc] but in an
amplified car audio system with single batter and alternator, the cap will
def help.

to larry's point i can't imagine the ignition is sucking the kind of
amperage that a well built bass amp would.. i mean the last one i had had 3
40a fuses [probably more for show than anything]. does the ignition it
require anywhere near the same juice to move a big speaker cone, suspended
in a sealed air cushion, as it would to fire a spark plug, albeit under
extreme duress [compression, rpm, boost, etc..]. ?

it definitely wouln't hurt. you've nothing to lose for trying.
