Electrical Experts - Question re. Capacitor installation

Any power supply filter cap on a DC power supply should be in parallel ( 
across ground and power) and clsoe to the load. Any cap in series will 
block all DC, acting as a hgih pass filter.

I think you may have seen a DC blocking circuit for the audio (music) 
side of the amp.
