Heated seats debugging (2001 S4)

Forgive me for posting here, but there simply isn't enough traffic on the S4
list (and little more on the A4 list).

Now that I've found my problem area vis a vis the dead battery issue, I've
got to debug the heated seats.

I've got the Bentley wiring diagram in front of me. Any info on controller
output waveforms/voltages, seat heater resistances, etc. would be most
appreciated.

I suspect my driver's side controller is toast but confirming that before
either a) swapping it with the passenger side or b) R&R'ing it on spec'
would be great.
