Fuel Pump Relay/Power?

'84 CGT - Have had start/no start problems for a while and found that the fuel pump has been getting power at some times and not others. So hot wired directly to the fuel pump from under the back seat connection and bingo.... starts right up.
Went to the relay in the fuse box and looks like nothing going to the pump from the box. Seems like there is something between the key and relay or box or relay.
Any thoughts before I have to take the dash off? Any BTDT?
