Thanks - I've got to imagine that Silicone is better in that location
because of the constant heat cycling. I don't think a used stock hose
from a bone yard would be in very good condition either. I couldn't find
a reducer hump in that size - smallest one started at 4" - 3.5"..
The reducer below, a couple of good clamps - and off we go :-)

I just used a silicon reducer hose instead of a hump hose, since I could
not find a silicon reducer-hump-hose.

I suspect there are more stresses applied to the bottom of the IC
because there is no strain relief hump, but it the best solution I could
find.
