quattro towing

Depends how it got towed... If all 4 wheels were on the ground,
transmission in neutral, rear diff not locked(easer to tow around
corners), it should be just fine... but I haven't really seen a towing
company doing that, using a and towing the car behind.
If the front wheels off the ground and the drive shaft not
disconnected, it most definitely messed the transmission up, even in
neutral.
Have a look in the archives of the 200 20v Quattro list, something
similar happened. A owner took his car to get his annual emissions
stuff done, but the person working there blocked the rear wheels
"thinking" it was a FWD only and messed up something in the
transmission. I think he ended up getting a new transmission or so?

Good luck

David
