Hi folks,

Chris Semple from Force5 rode to my rescue and was able to get me a
brand new blower motor at a good price, so I decided to go with that
instead of a used one. I'd rather have a brand-new unit with the
winter approaching here. Chris had it to me the next day from NH to
MA but time constraints have kept me from beginning the R&R job until
tomorrow. As always, it was a pleasure doing business with him.

In the meantime, I had the driver's side rear wheel bearing replaced
because it started making The Noise. I bought a replacement from Blau
and my local service station did the job for me. I looked in the
archives and thought about fabricating the puller and doing the job
myself but I just haven't had the time. It's a testament to the fact
that at least *some* good independent service shops still exist that
my local guy was able to get it done quickly for $195, which I thought
was perfectly reasonable as I had neither the time nor the inclination
to wrestle with it right now. No more rumbling from the right rear.

Incidentally that bearing had been moaning for about a month --
approx. 1,000 miles of driving since I first heard it. I was
surprised it lasted that long.

More coming on the blower motor soon...I will have pictures of the job.
