84 4KSQ Drive Train Options

Hello All,

Does anyone know what the most contemporary Audi drive train is (if any) that could bolt into an 84 4KSQ without any mounting modifications? I'm considering re-building my "spare" 84KSQ engine over the winter and the status of parts availability is starting to concern me. I'm just curious to see if there are newer drive train combinations that would work.  Thanks...
