Control Arm Bushing R & R

whenever I need to replace the control arm bushings on my 88 80q, I rent a
ball joint press from Advanced or AutoZone.

Combine with a few larger sockets, Ive been able to extract and insert a
number of the bushings with relative ease.

A couple of things that may make the job easier ... I have found that if you
hacksaw just through the bushing, it will give it enough room to compress
and pop right out of the control arm. Also, bend the lip of the bushing up all
the way around and you'll be able to get the right sized cup around it to
make pressing out a breeze.
