wheels are off

First time I tried to use the worthless plastic alignment dohicky, it broke under the weight of the wheel. Fun getting the plastic threads out of the hub hole in the dark in the middle of winter. I now have appropriate bolts with their heads cut off to do that trick. They cost me a couple bucks apiece, plus some time with a hacksaw. I have one in each car, along with a breaker bar or long-handled 1/2" drive wrench with the required extension and socket. I also have 2-ton hydraulic floor jacks in every car, and a piece of 1X12 Oak board.

They are about $18 at autozone. I've never broken one yet. Certainly
more than enough for wheels, and my (wife/sister/mom/whoever else is
driving the car) can't ever call me and say, "I can't get the lug nuts
off".
I have two of those plastic wheel line up tools. The first time I ever
tried to use it, it crossthreaded. Some real piece of engineering
there. Not that one is necessary at all, but it is nice to have.
