I dont understand this sentence:

"The Fusion AWD system is based upon the Mazdaspeed 6 system  
(essentially a
Torsen) but with a much lesser drivetrain."

Explain more please.  What's lesser and what is "essentially" a  
torsen. Is it or isnt it?
