84 4k oil pressure light

Symptoms:

*       When car is cold, no issue

*       When it begins to warm up, oil light and warning tone come on
slightly

*       When fully warm, Oil light and warning tone only comes on after
2100 rpm

o        Can drive around in 5th gear (or any gear) all day as long
under 2100 rpm without Oil light coming on

 

I'm suspecting something electrical in the dash, rather than an actual
oil pressure issue.

 

Has anyone ever experienced such a thing? 

 

Car was sitting a couple of years before I got it - just starting to
work out the bugs. I'll change the oil, but honestly don't believe that
will change anything.
