84 4k oil pressure light

Trust but verify...

If indeed the sender is bad, fine.

But if it isn't, you have an oil pressure issue, so I would at least try 
not to drive it much until you "test the hypothesis" by replacing the 
sender.

Or attach a pressure gauge to one of the sender fittings...
