I certainly miss Rod and hope he's doing well.  To me he was more than just
a place to get cheap parts ... he was always helpful.  In fact I remember
once he called me to see if I happened to have an old brake servo for an urq
on the shelf because he had a customer who needed one, and he knew how to
rebuild them.

I'm not so sure I'd dump the cars just because he went out of business
though ... there are still a few good places to get parts ... SJMautotechnik
and autohausaz seem to be the places I go regularly.  My guilty pleasure is
that I check Blau every so often for good prices on close outs.  Is Mack at
Claire still around?  After we lost Didi (& Linda) at Carlsen, Mack was the
place I went for good prices on parts from Audi ...

It was right around the time that I traded in my '93 90S for my current car
(non-Audi).

When I realized Rod and The Parts Connection were gone, I felt a bit of
relief that the 90S was gone.
The 'stealership' is just too expensive. Although I have to say that I
almost wish Rod had added a little more profit to his sales and stayed in
business.
