Re Ignition Problems plase help

I remember having a similar problem (the rev limiter effect). on my 20v it
was caused by the idle switch jamming closed fooling the system into
thinking the engine was supposed to be idling. the fix was eventually to
replace the switch although the immediate work around was to disconnect the
switch (unplug it) and set the throttle butterfly to open a bit so that the
engine would idle rather than stall.
